Don't Miss the Mini!

Today is the last day to order from the Occassions Mini Catalog!
I LOVED this mini-catalog and bought way too much from it.
This scrapbook page uses one of the sets from that catalog: Friendly Flowers
The images work perfectly with the scallop punch and the 1 3/8"punch.
I did cut the largest stamped image out by hand, but it makes a beautiful focal point on a scrapbooked page.

Products used:
Kraft cardstock, Retired Hostess set (paper and stickease), Stampin' Dimensionals
Inks: Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate

The Fresh Cuts promotion (see June 16th and 17th below) ends today as well.
I love those die cut notes, and am so glad that they will be in the new catalog!
It was exciting to get a sneak peek at those products.

Let me know if there is anything you need to order today...I'll get your order on it's way to you!

Stampin' Up! Announces New Product Line! (& a sample)

Stampin' Up! announced a new product line, Decor Elements, on Tuesday, June 17th.

This is part of the announcement:

Our Décor Elements product line is is vinyl artwork for walls, mirrors, windows, or other hard, smooth surfaces.
Décor Elements takes the idea of decorating your home and uses a different medium than stamps to accomplish the same mission-making your home a beautiful representation of your style!
Stampin' Up! has been able to achieve intricate designs because of their manufacturing process. Whether customers want to spice up the walls of their house or frame a piece for display, Décor Elements is easy to apply, easy to love, and easy to remove. (They explained that the Decor Elements actually match the stamp sets that are sold, making them a perfect pairing for decorating).
This product line will be available to customers on July 1, 2008.
I am EXCITED to try some of these elements out...and to show them to you!
Let me know if you'd like a brochure, and I'll make sure you get a chance to see it.

This sample is made on the "In Color" Purely Pomegranate, using a retiring set of stamps, Carte Postale.
I have compelety enjoyed working with the "In Colors" this year, and Purely Pomegranate has been one of my favorites. (We'll be getting 6 new colors when the new Fall/Winter Idea Book debuts on August 11th!)
I love how the images, stamped onto Whisper White pop against the Basic Black cardstock.
I used the 1 3/8" square punch and made this card in just a matter of minutes.
(Inks used were: Basic Black, Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate)

Fresh Cuts Sample

In the stamping world, there are many original ideas.
There are also numerous copies or "CASE"d items (CASE=Copy and Share Everything).
If you choose to CASE someone's card, it is proper to give them credit when you post your card, letting others know that it was a copy or adaptation of someone else's idea.

This card was CASEd from SU's "Stamper's Showcase" today.
Robin Conk was the designer that is listed there...so thanks Robin for sharing a great idea!

I had actually already decided that I wanted to combine the felt flowers (Flower Fusion) with the Fresh Cut notes, so when I saw this idea, I knew it was the card I wanted to create.
I can add any sentiment I want in any of the corners...and will do so when I choose what occasion to use this card for.
Thanks for checking in!
Kristine

Supplies: Whisper White Fresh Cut Notes, Pixie Pink Cardstock, Pink Passion Ink, Fire Circle Rhinesones, Flower Fusion (Pink Passion felt flower), and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Welcome!

One year ago (plus a few months), I joined Stampin' Up! as an independent demonstator.
My first workshop was in April of 2007, and we made these two cards.
I still remember how nervous I was that night...and how excited I was to share something I love with others.
I still love what I do, and love the creative process of coming up with new designs for cards (and scrapbooking pages).

I will be using this blog to post Stampin' Up! specials and promotions, and also to let you know about upcoming parties or open houses.
Please bookmark this site and let me know what you'd like to see here...I'll be updating frequently.
